The Legend of the Hummingbird

One day, a long time ago and in a faraway place, or so the legend goes, there was a huge forest fire that was raging the countryside. All the animals were terrified, running around in circles, screaming, crying and helplessly watching the impending disaster.

But there in the middle of the flames, and above the cowering animals, was a tiny hummingbird busy flying from a small pond to the fire, each time fetching a few drops with its beak to throw on the flames. And then again And then again.

After a while, an old grouchy armadillo, annoyed by this ridiculous useless agitation on the part of the hummingbird, cried out: “Tiny bird! Don’t be a fool. It is not with those miniscule drops of water one after the other that you are going to put out the fire and save us all! ”

To which the hummingbird replied, “Could be, but I’m going to do my bit”.

“We do not pretend to change everything, far from it but in any case, we decided to contribute to the change we wanted to see…”

Around the world, the use of sailing boats for fishing is widespread.

We will show through experiments, the parallels on the physical laws that can be done between a sailing boat and a plane: in order to inspire the pupils to other horizons.

Mamadou returned with water specialists to this village to identify the best solution. The aim would be to extend the 2 wells for a total cost of € 500.

First August was a key day in the adventure. It is today that we look forward to our carrier Ourialys for this collaborative world tour. A kind of repetition, a fictitious departure where we leave the house for our new nomadic "home". There are still preparations before the real start on 13th August (if all the conditions are met), although for now, everything is progressing well.

And what about the overall project? We must now...

The mosquito nets have arrived! We will be able to participate in the protection against malaria in Senegal in the region of Sine Saloum where a hundred families will benefit!

Thanks to your donations, we can already order about 15 filters to purify the water, some of which will also be used in Sine Saloum.

The actions for Dominica, the Dominican Republic and Madagascar are ongoing: we are still looking for 5 laptops, schoo...
